Fruit storage
Fruit storage is carried out in a controlled gas environment, using Dutch technologies.
The advantages of storing fruits in a chilled state in combination with a controlled gas environment is that with this method of storage they completely retain their physical chemical properties and appearance. Such products are no different from freshly harvested.
The essence of storage technology in CA is to create a storage environment with certain characteristics that take into account:
- temperature storage mode;
- composition of the atmosphere in the storage chamber, in particular, the content of oxygen and carbon dioxide in it.
Fruit storage in CA slows down the post-harvest ripening processes in the fruits, thereby extending their storage period without reducing marketabilities. In addition, CA use allows you to store fruits that cannot withstand low temperatures at higher (2-4 degrees C) without loss. If you slow down the processes of fruit vital activity not by lowering the temperature but by increasing CO2 concentration and reducing O2 content, then you can prevent physiological disorders (pulp darkening etc.) which are often observed at low storage temperatures. In our food storage CA storage chambers for 15,000 tons are located (59 chambers of 250 tons and 4 chambers of 50 tons for berries).
Chilled fruits are less susceptible to shrinkage, have a low level of ethylene, and are more resistant to physiological damage. Cooling is carried out in the shortest possible time after collection.
The FRUTTA fruit storage also houses a center for pre-sale preparation, sorting and packaging of fruits, which allows you to prepare up to 9 tons of fruit per hour.
TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS:
The market leader in scrubbers for CA technologies STOREX (Netherlands, has been operating on the market since 1995. 300 fruit storage facilities have been built in 50 countries of the world, including more than 30 facilities with a capacity of at least 10,000 tons each in the CIS.
The leader in the market of high-performance sorting and packaging with pre-sale preparation of fresh fruits and berries. It has been operating on the market since 1976 (Netherlands). In Kazakhstan, it is represented in the largest fruit storages by lines for apples.
